Lija was found by the river in a village in a very poor and heartbreaking state.

She was skinny, covered with ticks and worms with a huge mark on her neck most likely from a chain she was on for God knows how long.

It was very hard to come near her as she was totally unsocial, not used of being caressed or loved in any way but with time, efforts of her care givers, who she finds as a family at this very moment, and with being constantly showered with love, Lija became one healthy, strong but still tiny lady who would love to find her forever home .

So let’s find her a perfect one!

Things you should know about Lija

✔️ 2 years old ✔️mixed breed ✔️around 7-8kg

  • Lives indoors and loves home comforts

  • toilet trained but she may have issues with toileting in the beginning due to long and stressful trip, so toilet accidents are likely to happen

  • currently lives with one male dog and a male puppy. Since her foster parents help stray animals by fostering them until perfect homes are found, Lija has had to get used to being around unfamiliar dogs/puppies. At first she wouldn’t accept them fast but in time she got better and better. Now she needs a couple of days to get to know them and initiate play time

  • used to live with a cat as well with whom she was brilliant but of course a nice & slow introduction is still needed

  • she is a good, docile dog who loves human contact and is very affectionate

  • loves going on her walks and although she can get nervous from time to time, she still enjoys it fully, especially when she meets kids- immediately goes on her back and demands belly rubs

  • averagely vocal

  • walks perfectly on a lead

  • healthy, vaccinated and spayed
