She was only skin&bone looking dog, wandering the village alone, praying for a loaf of bread.
At the time she had a severe skin infection and by the time she was taken to the vet, she had already lost the eye.
In spite everything bad this life has shown her, it hasn't killed her faith in people and her goodness.
She remained to be this amazing, gentle dog who is grateful to pretty much everything you do for her.
After she had lost the eye, she started living in a car as her rescuer couldn't pay for foster. For months she had slept on a car sit, been taken for a couple of walks & would come back to her only home- a car.
Now she is in a foster.
Definitely a different and more comfortable kind of life but still isn't what we are aiming for.
This wonderful, intelligent girl, who most likely is a hound, needs her own family!
Someone who'll protect her.
Someone who'll run & play with her and let her do all these things she missed out due to poorly life which brought nothing but suffering.
Can we find someone for our Iris?
She might be missing a sight on one eye but it doesn't affect the quality of life she is having.
She is active, good looking, friendly and prone to a mischief :D
Things you should know about Iris
Approx.2 years old
Lives in a foster home with other doggies both resident and fostered ones & sleeps in a pen
During the day she is free to roam throughout the yard where she meets different dogs in size and character who she loves spending time with
Used to live in a car and therefore was used to go 3 times a day for brief walks and would return to her bed - a car sit. The freedom suits her so nicely as she has blossomed into this beautiful loving and happy dog. Imagine the happiness that a life as a part of a family will bring her.
at this point she should be toilet trained but with all the stress that comes with a travel, toilet accidents are likely to happen in the beginning
Preferably cat free home!
Lives with a 3 y old child who she adores
Despite everything that life has brought her she is still trustful and so loyal to people. Greets people with her waggy tail, enjoys cuddles and is very affectionate
There might be a prey drive in her as she is a hound
when it comes to food, she can be greedy and always tries to steal other dogs meals which is why she needs to be monitored during feeding time
Walks on a lead
healthy, fully vaccinated and spayed
