šŸŒ·JASMINE ( Smilja )šŸŒ·

A story about a mother and her baby who were found in the middle of nowhere, in the darkness of a village far away from a city.

They heard a car passing by and ran out to the street to be seen. The car had already passed them by.

Their silhouettes somewhere far behind in a fog stabbed us in the heart and we had to go back.

It was a foggy night and it was cold, a hound mum with her most likely only survived baby looked at us and mum's sad eyes full of hope is something that one can't turn its back to.

They came into the car and by the time we arrived to their new foster home, they had been sleeping peacefully in the car.

Possibly it was the first time they felt safe which allowed them to fall into a deep sleep.

Since then Smilja has been in a foster home, looking for a touch, affection, a companion but unfortunately due to too many dogs she shares the household with, she doesn't get the attention she craves for.

Smilja seems as a hound, possibly thrown away because she didn't serve well in the hunt-now those days are over and far behind her, However a new life story awaits to be written.

Smilja is looking for forever home! Help us find her one !

Things you should know about SMILJA

  • around 3 years old

  • Mixed breed

  • 18kg-20kg

  • from the moment she arrived, Smilja has shown a big deal of gratitude and affection to her carer who has provided her with food and shelter. She needed only that-a place to stay and nurture her puppy, a regular meal and a bit of goodness from people

  • shares an enclosure with other dogs

  • spends some time during the day in the garden where other grownup dogs and puppies are having fun together. Of course an hour or two during the day isn't enough for them but at least they get to have some runs and funny little games with tireless puppies

  • gets perfectly along with every dog she interacts with

  • not house-trained, nor she is toilet trained so it will definitely take her some time to learn toileting with the patience and guidance of her new family

  • Loves the company of people, familiar of unfamiliar, is very affectionate, intelligent, and loyal as all hounds are. They make true family members, their owners always come first and Smilja is exactly the same

  • not tested with kids but surely she will love them. Dog-savvy kids are preferable

  • not cat tested

  • not lead trained but should pick it up quickly

  • healthy, fully vaccinated and spayed
