Lizzy

Lizzy (was Sara at the time) was a tiny bundle of fluff when we found her. She'd been left with her sister at a gas station in the pouring rain, she was just looking for a dry corner to lay down and warm up.

Sara‘s sister was quickly adopted and now we set up a search to find a home for Sara too. She's a beautiful girl and as you can imagine attracted a huge amount of interest, but we wanted to make sure she found the perfect family - which she did, with her new mum Zoe in the UK.

(Lizzy. Born October 2020 - 5 months on arrival. Adopted in March 2021.)

"Our family were missing the glue that held us all together after losing our female basset Molly (9 months previously). I stumbled upon MISI's Animal Rescue and was met with these eyes that sunk into my soul and imprinted on me.

Then Sara (Now Lizzy) had a lot of interest, many people obviously saw what we did in those beautiful eyes. I frantically filled in an application form and was checking my emails and Facebook regularly for updates. I then got a message from Martina, one of the rescuers - I asked as many questions as I could think of and she asked me just as many.

Weeks passed before we got our video call (at times I worried we were not successful) - but then the video call we anticipated came, and we met Isidora, Martina, and our beautiful Lizzy. We were all overwhelmed and that call seemed to go so quickly, we could have watched her all day! We waited in anticipation, frantically checking messages, emails etc (and also messaging Martina probably every 5 minutes)... Then we got the news we hoped for, she had chosen us. The 4 Paws bus was booked and she would soon be with us.

The 24th of March 2021 is the day she landed in ours arms. She was a wee scruffy tiny 5 month old pup with a lot of love to give!

It's been 4 months that Lizzy has been with us now. In that time she has become confident, cheeky and very, very loving. Lizzy is a super fast learner and has learnt many tricks including sit, down, paw, stay, come, say your prayers, touch, roll over and weave (she is still learning).

She is the boss of the boys at home and they adore her - her best friend is Floyd our rather large Maine coon Persian Cross. She adores children and animals alike.

Lizzy loves nothing more than a rumble on the beach and a good adventure. In the short time she has been here she has been on many already! She loves her toys and has very powerful jaws for a little dog. Ask the chew toys... But she also enjoys equally being snuggled on your lap and watching telly.

We can all not thank MISI's Animal Rescue enough, for bringing this ray of sunshine into our lives. A special Thank you to Martina and Isidora. We will forever be Eternally grateful xx"
