Lovely Posavac hound mum was spotted with her 11 babies on a field in a village. Locals said she was roaming around looking for food for weeks so possibly she gave birth somewhere and once the puppies started walking she took them to a field.

People living across the road of the field saw the numerous family standing there one pouring day in November and decided to take them in so they at least are safe and away from other dogs, cars and other dangers.

Having a mum and 11 puppies forced them to ask for help and it was when we jumped in for help.

2 puppies were locally adopted and 9 of them scrolled under MISI's wings. Mum is happily adopted by kind people who saved the numerous family in the first place.

Pluto, one of the bigger boys in the litter needs his own family!

Things you should know about Pluto

āœ”ļø11 months old

āœ”ļøPosavac hound crosS

āœ”ļøWeighs around 20kg

  • he recently joined us to the shelter. This is the 3rd time this boy, alongside his siblings is changing his accommodation and is getting used to the new surroundings.

  • has never been indoors and isn't toilet trained but with some guidance and perseverance she should pick on that quite fast

  • not cat tested so should have a nice and slow introduction

  • Lovely Pluto is one of the bigger dogs in the litter, and should get a bit bigger in time with some muscle mass gains. However he seems as a handsomely built dog with long legs and very nice posture. What's even more beautiful is his personality. Even though he isn't very used on Misi's members, this boy started to trust us immediately. He likes his cuddles, gladly comes back for more. Pluto is active and would be a perfect match to people who like outdoors which he will adore.

  • likes people and doesn't show fearful behaviour with unfamiliar individuals, but proper and slow intros are preferable

  • hasn't been introduced to kids but this shouldn't be an issue as long as the kids are respectful towards animals and preferably dog-savvy.

  • Pluto hasn;t still been on a lead so he'll require some practice.

  • So far hasn't had the opportunity to show the prey drive which is common with Posavac breed. The breed is known as very intelligent and working dog ( he'll probably need mental & physical stimulation), athletic with amazing stamina, trainable and their loyalty and devotion to the family make them brilliant family pets

  • healthy, fully vaccinated and castrated

How do you adopt Pluto?

Adoption requires a pre-adoption questionnaire, home check and an adoption contract.

You will need to pay for Pluto's transportation, and pay for the paperwork to get her to you.

The costs are typically ā‚¬550 in total per puppy, depending on where you are located.

We used to be able to charge a little less but unfortunately, due to brexit, the costs of passports, documentation and travel have been increased by our suppliers.
