Just one of many dogs, abandoned in the neighborhood, living as a stray dog, fending for food and shelter through cold and miserable weather.

But her destiny is luckily in our hands now as we managed to provide her with a spot at one of our fosters where she finally doesn't have to worry about whether she'll eat today or not.

Her background is unknown to us. In spite her size and how discreadit large dogs are, we promise she is the most loving and gentle dog in the world.💕

Sharka deserves to have a warmth of the loving family and finally enjoy life 💛🌻

Things you should know about Sharka

  • Between 3-4 y of age

  • Illyrian Shepherd Dog aka Sarplaninac

  • 30-35kg

  • Lives in a foster home with other doggies both resident and fostered ones & sleeps in a pen

  • During the day she is free to roam throughout the yard where she meets different dogs in size and character who she loves spending time with

  • For a long time she had been a street dog who lived in a village and was forced to find food on her own and care about herself. While living on the street no incidents were recorded, neither with people or dogs. Actually she was pretty nice and friendly with kids, which shows her true personality. Sharka is currently living with a 3 y old child she loves so much! However the introductions should be made carefully and we'd always prefer a dog savvy children

  • She is super nice with cats as well!

  • not house/toilet trained so a small guidance will be needed in the beginning

  • 💞The breed is known after its strong body, guardian instincts but at the same time after a very calm & well balanced temperament and high intelligence.

  • Loves spending time with people, not bothered by unfamiliar ones at all, on the contrary, she is highly affectionate and wants to be involved in everything that's been going on

  • truly enjoys being a member of a family, is very trustful and well balanced dog, even in the current age is very adaptable to the new environment and surroundings

  • not used on walking on a lead

  • healthy, fully vaccinated and spayed
